QR designs
Save a QR code look once and use it on any link.
A QR design is a look you build once (colours, shapes, logo, caption, margin, error correction) and then choose for any link. When you change the design, every link that uses it follows.
# When to use one
- A shop, a club or an event that wants the same look on all its codes.
- A look you like and want to keep, without rebuilding it for each link.
- Several links to update at once: change the design, not each link.
# Create a design
- Open the QR designs tab.
- Press New QR design and give it a name.
- Build the look in the editor, exactly like customising a QR code. The preview uses a sample address, since a design belongs to no link.
- Press Save. To add a picture as logo, save first, then edit the design: the picture upload appears once the design exists.
# Use a design on a link
- New link: the form shows a QR code design list as soon as you have a design.
- Existing link: select it, press QR design, then pick the design in the list. Pick Standard QR code to go back to the plain black and white code.
A link that uses a design shows its look everywhere: the QR code of the link and the one of its portal.
# Change or delete a design
- Edit a design and the links using it change within a few minutes (addresses are cached for 5 minutes).
- A design used by links cannot be deleted: switch those links to another style first. The list shows how many links use each design.
# Limits
Your plan sets how many designs you can keep (see Plans and limits). The picture logo of a design is stored once and shared by all its links.
