Manage a link
Close, reopen, change the destination, renew and delete.
Select a link in the console list to open its panel.
# The panel at a glance
From top to bottom: the short address and its QR code, then two rows of buttons, then foldable sections.
- Change: the destination, the options, the tags, the QR design.
- Manage: close or reopen, duplicate, share, renew, delete.
- Summary (open): status, destination, expiry, the options in use, your private note. Addresses, Portal and Statistics fold and unfold: click their title.
# Close and reopen
Close switches the link off within a minute: visitors get “not found” and the QR code stops. Reopen brings it back. Nothing is lost, statistics included.
# Change the destination
Edit changes where the link leads. The short link and the QR code stay the same, so codes already printed keep working. A portal whose picture is “the target of the link” follows the new destination.
# Renew
On accounts whose links have a lifetime, Renew pushes the end date a full lifetime ahead, and revives a link that has just ended.
# Delete
Delete closes the link for good. Its code is kept so that it can never lead somewhere else.
# The addresses of a link
The panel lists the short link, its QR code, the portal and the portal's QR code, each with a Copy button. Pick the one you want to share: the short link goes straight to the destination, the QR code is a picture of that link, the portal is a page of your own.
# Trash
Delete moves a link to the Trash button of the link list. For 30 days you can Restore it, with its address, portal and QR design. After that it is gone for good, and its address is never reused. A restored link counts again in your quota.
# Share a link
Share gives other accounts access to a link by their e-mail address (10 at most). They see it in their list, and can edit it, its portal and its QR code, but not delete it or share it further. Only the owner manages the list. Links made with the admin key cannot be shared.
# Tags
Give a link up to 5 tags (a few words or a dash, 24 characters each) with the Tags button, or when you create it. Above the list, the tag buttons keep only the links that carry one; the search box also looks in the tags. The CSV export has a tags column.
# Duplicate
Duplicate makes a new link with its own short address and copies the destination, rules (password, dates, click limit), tags, QR design, and the portal with its image and pictures. Statistics start from zero. It counts in your link quota.
