QR codes
The standard QR code, its downloads and printing advice.
Every active link has a QR code. It contains the short address, never the destination: you can change the destination later without reprinting.
# Download
- SVG: a drawing that stays sharp at any size. Best for printing, signs and logos.
- PNG: a picture. Use the one downloaded from the console for a personalised code, it is exactly what you see.
- Addresses ending in
.svgor.pngcan also be used directly, for instance in a document or a web page.
# Printing advice
- Print the code at least 2 cm wide, more if people scan from afar (about a tenth of the distance).
- Keep an empty border of at least 3 modules around it.
- Dark modules on a light background are the most reliable.
- Always test the printed code with a phone before printing a thousand copies.
# Portal QR code
When a link has a portal, a second QR code opens the portal page directly. It follows the same style as the link's code.
A QR code only works while its link is active.
Make it yours: Customise a QR code.
